The goal of Four Rivers Transportation, Inc. is to acquire and operate rail lines with a stable traffic base and growth potential and, through its subsidiary rail operations, provide customers located along those railroads safe, responsive, personalized and efficient rail transportation services.

Four Rivers Transportation, Inc. was organized as a Delaware corporation in 1995.  Currently, the corporation has three (3) operating subsidiaries:

            Paducah & Louisville Railway, Inc. (Alpha Code=PAL; Numeric Code=907)
                        - A full-service, 265-mile, regional railroad
                        - Operates in Kentucky, with main line between Paducah and Louisville
                          and branch lines between Paducah and Kevil; Paducah and Clayburn
                          (Mayfield); and Cecilia and Elizabethtown

            Evansville Western Railway, Inc. (Alpha Code=EVWR; Numeric Code=155)
                        - A full-service, 124.5-mile short line railroad
                        - Operating between Evansville (Howard Yard), IN, and Okawville, IL, with a
                           branch line at Mt. Vernon, IN.

            Appalachian and Ohio Railroad, Inc. (Alpha Code=AO; Numeric Code=893)
                        - A 158-mile, short line railroad
                        - Operates in West Virginia, between Grafton and Cowen,with branch line between
                           Hampton Junction and Alexander
